Laurence C Moser

Laurence C. Moser, 90, of Edgeley, ND, died Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at St. Joseph Manor, LaMoure, ND.

Laurence C. Moser was born June 7, 1920, near Pettibone, ND, the son of Christ and Sarah (Rexine) Moser. He grew up on the family farm and was educated at rural school. The family moved to Jamestown and Laurence entered the National Guard 164th Infantry. He served five years with tours to the Philippines and Guadal Canal before being discharged with a Purple Heart. Laurence married Theresa "Tracy" Krawczyk on March 9, 1946 in Cloquet, MN. He worked for a paper mill in Cloquet, MN for a short time before working for the North Dakota State Hospital in Jamestown. Laurence later worked for the GTA Feed Plant in Jamestown, then moved to Edgeley in 1960 to continue working for GTA delivering bulk supply. He later worked for the Farmers' Union Oil in Edgeley. Laurence retired and worked on the Baltzer Schlosser farm. Tracy died on February 22, 2004.

Laurence was a member of Transfiguration Catholic Church and the American Legion of Edgeley, and the Eagles of Jamestown.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and taking naps.

Laurence is survived by two sons, Bob (Crystal), Edgeley and Joe (Marsha), Weymouth, MA; two daughters, Laurie (Bob) Wiederrich, and Sandi (Gary) Horsager, both of Edgeley; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and one sister, Aldena Korpi, Cloquet, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one daughter, Jean Brandenburger; one grandson, Tyler Brandenburger; one brother; and four sisters.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30am, Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley, ND.

Prayer Service: 7:00pm, Friday, April 15, 2011 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley.

Visitation: 4:00pm-7:00pm, Friday, April 15, 2011 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, ND, later in the spring.
