LaVay Maxine Olson, 83, died on Friday, May 27, 2022 at SMP Health – St. Catherine South, Fargo, North Dakota.
LaVay was born on July 10, 1938 in Maddock, North Dakota, the daughter of Lloyd and Ardis (Nilson) Olson. She attended Maddock high school and worked at a local car hop. She also baked for the Cleveland Café before obtaining her job at the State Hospital in the sewing room.
On February 14, 1960, LaVay and Sever Olson were married in Pierre, South Dakota. They moved to Medina, North Dakota for two years before moving to their final residence in Cleveland, North Dakota.
She loved to spend her time sewing and working in her garden.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 47 years, three brothers: Norris “Bobby”, Wesley, and Kenley, and brother-in-law, LeRoy Indergaard.
LaVay is survived by her children: Blaine, Linette, Ranelle, Deslee, and Damon, grandchildren: Jeremy, Melissa “Missy” (Matt) Lane, Emma, and Zane, Great Grandchildren: Keenan, Collin, Maxwell, and Mabel, sister, LuAnn Indergaard, and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service: 1:00 PM, Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at United Methodist Church, Cleveland, ND with Pastor Darrell Losing to officiate.
Graveside Service to follow at Medina City Cemetery, Medina, ND.
Arrangements are in the care of Eddy Funeral Home.
