Laverne E. Klose

Laverne E. Klose, 62, Jamestown, North Dakota died Saturday, December 15, 2007 at his home.

Laverne Klose was born November 11, 1945 in Jamestown, North Dakota to Harry and Viola (Steege) Klose. Laverne attended and graduated from St. John's Academy in 1963. He served in the National Guard for six and a half years. He and his brother LeMoine farmed for twenty years south of Jamestown. On January 23, 1975 he married Lois Sissell. Laverne worked at Central Sales as a salesman from 1985 until retiring in November 2007. Laverne married Deb Klosterman on February 26, 2006. He was a member of Elks, Eagles and American Legion. Laverne enjoyed traveling, collecting old tractors and cars and spending time with his friends, family and especially his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife, Deb, Jamestown; two daughters, Jennifer (Ryan) Harrington, Mandan, ND, Lisa (Jeff) Deibert, Bismarck, ND; one step-daughter, Tenille (Matt) Larson, Milnor, ND; two grandsons Donovan Deibert and Westin Harrington and two granddaughters, Quinn Deibert and Kendra Harrington; three brothers, Wally (Mabel) Klose, Twin Bridges, MT, LeMoine (Patsy) Klose and Mark (Mona) Klose, both of Jamestown, ND; two sisters, Jo Anna, Upland Hills, CA, Kay (Danny) Zitney, Ontario, CA and many neices and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial Service: 10:30 AM, Thursday, December 20, 2007 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown, with Pastor Rich Fitzer officiating.

No visitation is scheduled.

Prayer Service: 7:30 PM, Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.

Burial: North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Jamestown Hospice or Trinity Lutheran Church.
