Lavona Mae Benson

LaVona Mae Benson, 46, Jamestown, North Dakota died Friday, October 29, 2010 at Jamestown Hospital.

LaVona was born October 27, 1964 in Devils Lake, North Dakota, the daughter of Wayne and Audrey (McKay) Kirkeby. She was known as \""Toots\"" and \""Lovie\"" to many. LaVona attended schools in Jamestown and Edmore, ND, she also attended Lake Region Technical College in Devils Lake. LaVona was raised by her Foster Parents, Edroy and Solveig Boe. She worked for 17 years for Sioux Manufacturing, Inc., in Devils Lake, ND. LaVona married Carl Richard Benson, March 19, 2004 in Devils Lake. Her hobbies include watching pro wrestling anytime and anywhere.

LaVona is survived by her husband, Carl Richard Benson, Jr., Jamestown, two daughters, Skyla Berger and Anna LaMae Berger, both of Devils Lake, a son Adam Berger also of Devils Lake, two grandchildren, Zander and Lyla Berger, four sisters, Rosella Norheim, Jamestown, ND, Arline Ose, Omaha, NE, Lois Larson, ND, Tina Scherbenske, of Fargo, ND, one brother, Douglas (Lori) Kirkeby of Carrington, ND, a special friend Timothy Taxis of Jamestown and many neices and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother (Wayne) and a sister (Bonnie), and one nephew, Kenneth Albert.
