Lawrence Vogt

Lawrence ""Bud"" Rosco Vogt, 82, Jamestown, North Dakota, died Thursday, January 28, 2010 at Jamestown Hospital.

Bud was born February 24, 1927 in Duluth, Minnesota, the son of Lawrence and Kathryn (Schaffer) Vogt. He graduated from Denfield High School in Duluth. Bud enlisted in the US Army following high school. He was discharged in 1946 and returned to Minnesota. On June 3, 1950, Bud married Lorrayne Wahl in Duluth. He was employed as a sales representative for McKesson Drug Company until his retirement.

Bud was a charter member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Jamestown. He enjoyed reading, golfing, walking, bowling and playing pool with his friends.

Bud is survived by his wife, Lorrayne, Jamestown; three daughters, Cindy (George) Berger, Valley City, ND, Barb (Tom) Furlong, Helena, MT and Patty Christianson, Denver, CO; five grandchildren, Adam and Bridget Berger, Haley and Nolan Golz, and Carlie Christianson, two sisters, Marilyn Baker, Denver, CO and Gloria (Howard) Bjorklund, Fargo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Tom.
