Leah Jungroth

Leah Jungroth, 83, Jamestown, North Dakota died Monday, February 23, 2004 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home in Jamestown.

Leah Nashold was born November 10, 1920 in Jamestown the daughter of Leslie B. and Kirsten ""Meta"" (Peterson) Nashold. She grew up and attended school in Jamestown graduating from Jamestown High School in 1938. Leah attended the Jamestown School of Business in 1939 and upon completion of her studies went to work for the McElroy Company and worked there until 1947. She moved to Grand Forks and lived there for a short time until she returned to Jamestown in 1950. She lived in Bozeman, MT for one year, otherwise Leah lived and worked in Jamestown. She was employed by the Farmers Union State Office, the Stutsman County Library, E-Z Sales and the Jamestown Sun. She retired from the Jamestown Sun in 1986.

Leah enjoyed gardening, she loved living in Jamestown and especially reading the Jamestown Sun. She loved cutting things out of the Sun and sending them to friends and family. Leah enjoyed sending cards to her family and friends and would send them for all occasions. Many said her card was always the first they received for their special day and they would look forward to her card and whatever she would send or write. She was a very kind and caring lady and will be missed by all. She was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church and the American Legion Auxiliary, both of Jamestown.

Leah is survived by two sisters, Melva (Leroy) Glarum Wiitala, Fredericks, SD and Inez Nelson, Bozeman, MT and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Gordon and Robert and a half-sister, Kathryn Nashold Haroldson.

Memorial Service: 1:30 PM, Saturday, February 28, 2004 at the Grace Episcopal Church, Jamestown with Rev. Bart Davis officiating.

No visitation is scheduled.

Burial will be in the spring at a later date.
