Leah Roush, 86, Jamestown, North Dakota died Saturday, November 4, 2006 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home, Jamestown.

Leah Netzer was born March 19, 1920 in rural Gackle, North Dakota to Daniel and Barbara (Schlaht) Netzer. Leah grew up near Gackle and attended school in Griffen Township Country School. She lived and worked on the family farm until 1942. Leah moved to Tacoma, Washington and worked at the Sands Hotel for six years as a waitress and head dining room girl. Leah was later employed at a nursing home and worked for the civil service at an Army hospital in Ft. Lewis, Washington for nine months. She returned to North Dakota when her father passed away in 1948. On January 5, 1951, she married Ora Marvin Roush in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. Leah was married twenty-three years before Ora's passing. Leah got a job at the Jamestown Hospital and was employed from 1950 to 1980. She became a licensed practical nurse with her employment at the hospital. She resided in Jamestown until her passing.

Leah was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Jamestown.

She is survived by two sisters, Rebecca Woehl, Jamestown, Caroline Cook, Tacoma, WA and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, one brother and a special friend, Harry Johnson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Jamestown Hospital.

Funeral service: 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 9, 2006 at the Eddy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Stuart officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.

Burial: Cleveland Cemetery, Cleveland, North Dakota.
