Learae Dianne Bassett

LeaRae Bassett, 67, Jamestown, ND passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2006 at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND.
LeaRae Dianne Evenson was born on March 22, 1938 at Grafton, ND the daughter of Selmer and Ethel (Fuller) Evenson. She attended school in Edinburg, ND and graduated from Edinburg High School. She married Eugene Olafson at Edinburg in 1956. They moved to Jamestown in 1962. LeaRae worked for Montana Dakota Utilities from 1971 until she retired in 2000 after 29 years of service. She married Richard Bassett at Valley City on July 26, 1989. They have made Jamestown their home.
Survivors include her husband, Richard; 2 sons: Clinton Olafson, Jamestown and Clifford Bassett, Arizona; 3 daughters: Valerie (LeLand) Johnson, Beulah, ND, Sheila (Kevin) Lagodinski, Fargo, ND and Brenda (Kevin) Ruziska, Moorhead MN; 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Orlene Brandow, Rhinelander, WI; a sister-in-law, Louise Evenson, Jamestown, ND and several beloved nieces and nephews. Her parents and twin brother, Larry preceded her in death.
LeaRae enjoyed time with her family, flower gardening, card playing, bingo and socializing with her many friends and people she loved.
Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown, ND with Reverend Dennis Ellingson and Father Dale Lagodinski officiating.
Prayer Service: 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.
Visitation: 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at Lisko Funeral Chapel and 1 hour prior to services in the church on Wednesday.
Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, ND.
