Lena Wolf

Lena Wolf, 95, of Jamestown, ND died Sunday, August 4, 2002 at Central Dakota Village Nursing Home in Jamestown, ND.

Lena Schuler was born June 30, 1907 south of Steele, ND the daughter of Fred and Philabena (Scholl) Schuler. She attended school at Valley Springs school near Goldwin, ND and was confirmed at Medina, ND. Lena's mother died when she was seven, leaving her to help raise a family of five. The family moved to Tuttle, ND and her father remarried. They later lived near Robinson, ND and Goldwin, ND. She began a career as a seamstress at age 28, receiving her education in Bismarck, ND and working for Mrs. Lowery in Jamestown. Lena married Albert H. Wolf on November 26, 1937 in Medina, ND. Lena helped raised her husband's two boys and her family as they farmed near Sydney, ND. The family moved to a farm 5 mile north of Gackle, ND and later to a farm south of Eldridge, ND. They moved to Jamestown after their retirement where their home has been since. Albert H. Wolf died on June 5, 1979. Lena lived at the Heritage Centre and later Central Dakota Village in Jamestown.

She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Jamestown.

She is survived by daughter, Marilyn (Kenneth) Trautman of Cleveland, ND; son, Howard (Carolgene) Wolf of Ypsilanti, ND; daughter, Darlene (Jerry E.) Michel of Jamestown, ND; two step-sons, Terry Wolf of Ypsilanti, ND and Dell (Lorene) Wolf of Spokane, WA; 7 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 5 step great-grandchildren; brother, Fred Schuler of Jamestown, ND; sister, Elizabeth (John) Leimer of Jamestown, ND; sister, Bertha Bauer of Lodi, CA; sister, Lydia Noonan of Ft. Collins, CO; brother, Ted (Bernice) Schuler of Sebastopol, CA; brother, Ed (Deloris) Schuler of Beaver Dam, WI; sister, Sophia (Harold) Beckman of Ypsilanti, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Emily Bauer and Emma Leimer; one brother, Christ Schuler.

Funeral Service: 10:00AM Tuesday, August 6, 2002 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Jamestown with Rev. Donald Crippen officiating.

Visitation: Monday, August 5, 2002 from 1:00PM to 9:00PM at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Prayer Service: 8:00PM Monday, August 5, 2002 at Eddy Funeral Chapel.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, ND.
