Lenora Job passed away 1/29/2018 at Jamestown Regional Hospital, (Jamestown ND)
Lenora Rau-Job, a 93 year old resident of Medina ND passed away at 11:30pm after suffering a severe disabling stroke in her Medina ND home the morning of 1/28/2018. She was born 3/22/1924 to Christ Rau (deceased in 1972) and Clara Bader-Rau (deceased in 1934).
Lenora graduated from Medina ND High School in 1942 and married Arthur Job in 1943 working in WW2 munitions plants until 1945. Lenora and Arthur had 3 children Merlin (born 1945), Keith (born 1947), and Sherry Job-Ausmus (born 1948, deceased 2005). They farmed North of Medina for over 50 years until Arthur’s death in 2004. She moved to Medina ND in 2010 residing at the College Street residence until her death. She is survived by children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren including: Son Merlin A (Margaret) Job, of Dana Point Ca, grandson Rory A (Susan) Job, and great-grandchildren Kate Job and David Job; Son Keith A (Noel) Job of Cedar City Utah, grand-son Brent (Aubrey) Job, great grand-son Keegan Job, grand-son Nickolas (Tiffany) Job and great grandchildren Pierce Job and Knox Job. Preceded in death by daughter Sherry L Job-Ausmus (deceased 2005), husband Gerald Ausmus (deceased 2015) of Baudette Mn. Also survived by grandson Dr. Greg (Amber) Ausmus and great grandchildren Patrick Ausmus and Allison Ausmus, grand-son Micheal Ausmus of Coon Rapids Mn. Lenora is survived by her 6 siblings including: Duane Rau of Medina ND, Vernon Bader of Medina ND, Jean Bader- Antonavich of Duluth Mn, Ardella Bader of Minot ND, Cherry Rau-Moser of Medina ND, Donna Rau-Dickoff of Medina ND.
Lenora was active in the Zion United Church of Christ, Medina, ND for her lifetime serving in the ladies group and as church secretary and later as church pianist. She was also a lifetime member of American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Lenora worked on the farm supporting Arthur and the children in all chores including spring planting, hay making, and harvest. She worked in Jamestown for the ND Highway Patrol giving driver’s tests and doing office work for 10 years in the 1960s.
Lenora has been active in sewing quilts and provided her house to do group quilting for the past 8 years. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Monday, February 5, 2018 at Zion United Church of Christ, Medina, ND. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Burial will be in Medina Cemetery.
