Leona Jeske, 93, Jamestown, North Dakota died Saturday, July 3, 2004 at Hi-Acres Manor, Jamestown, ND.
Leona Bauer was born January 11, 1911 in Melville, ND to Charles and Carolina (Albus) Bauer. She attended and graduated from Carrington High School. On April 17, 1933 she married John Jeske in Carrington. They lived in Carrington until moving to Jamestown in 1953. Leona was a lifelong member of the Nazarene Church, taught Sunday school and was an active member of the church ladies circle. She enjoyed baking for church bazaares, especially carmel rolls and kuchen.
She is survived by: two sons, Robert (Shirley) Jeske, Spiritwood, ND and Patrick (Sharon) Jeske, Casa Grande, AZ; six grandchildren, Bradley, John, LiAnne, Sarah, Ryan and Katrina; eight great-grandchildren, Robert, Joshua, Briana, Theodore, Vanessa, Journey, Caleb and Zoe; one brother, Fred (Ruby) Bauer, Minneapolis, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Jerry, five brothers and one sister.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the First Church of the Nazarene, Jamestown.
Funeral Service: Wednesday, July 7, 2004 at 11:00 AM at First Church of the Nazarene, Jamestown with Pastor Richard Reynolds.
Visitation: Tuesday, July 6, 2004 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.
Burial: Carrington Cemetery, Carrington, North Dakota.
