Leonard Anderson

Leonard Anderson, 86, Jamestown, North Dakota died Thursday, November 12, 2009 at Ave Maria Village in Jamestown.

Mr. Anderson was born March 9, 1923 in Cayuga, North Dakota, the son of Louis and Alvina (Herther) Anderson. Leonard married Lily Brown, who died at an early age. He later married Eleanor Weisser. Leonard worked at the Jamestown Sun. He married Edna Fandrich. They were owners and operators of various area community bars.

Leonard is survived by daughter, Connie (Arnold) Cole, Pillager, MN, daughter, Edith (Ron) Colwell, Sioux Falls, SD, son, Gary (Jean) Anderson, Mandan, ND, daughter, Pam (Robert) Burchill, Valley City, ND, daughter, Judy (Duane) Yetterboe, Jamestown, ND, daughter, Betty Hehr, Fredonia, ND; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Beatrice Herrman, University City, Washington and Agnes Olafson, Forman, ND.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna; one son in infancy; one daughter; five brothers; and three sisters.

Memorials are preferred to Ave Maria Village or Red River Valley Hospice.
