Leonard Limesand

Leonard Limesand, 82, of Jamestown, ND, passed away Sunday morning, May 5, 2024 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center, Jamestown.

Leonard Limesand was born February 9, 1942, in Jamestown, the son of Norman and Virginia (Leimer) Limesand.  When his family moved to Marion, ND, he attended country school and graduated from Marion High School in 1960.  He married his high school sweetheart, Carolyn Van Enk on August 30, 1963 at North Marion Reformed Church.  Leonard and Carolyn did dairy & grain farming until moving to Jamestown.  He enjoyed gardening, flowers, and woodworking.

Leonard was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia; father, Norman; and step-mother, Marjorie Limesand.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carolyn; children, Scott (Lisa), Anita (Brad) Schaack, Steve (Caroline), and Angela; grandchildren, Ashley & Laura Limesand, Amber & Nick Schaack, Blake & Wyatt Limesand, and Alexis Limesand.  Leonard is also survived by his siblings, Norma (Don) Smith, Kermit (Linda), Wesley (Pat), Milton (Joyce), Lynette (Terry) Nelson, Shelly (Lori) Skramstad, and Sharon (David) Bolme.

Memorial Service – 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 13, 2024 at First Congregational United Church of Christ, Jamestown, with Pastor Tammy Toepke-Floyd officiating.  Family will receive guest an hour before the service.

Burial – Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown.
