Lester Pauling

Lester Pauling, 69, Edgeley, ND, died Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown, ND.
Lester Warne Pauling was born March 24, 1938 on a farm in Berlin, ND, the son of Harold and Lucille (Cofell) Pauling. At age 6, he moved with his family to a farm in Edgeley, ND where he attended school, graduating from Edgeley High School in 1956. After graduating, he worked for a short time at Kipp Chevrolet in Edgeley. In 1961, he joined the North Dakota National Guard where he served for 37 years. On May 6, 1962, he married Audrey Doepke at Wesley United Methodist Church in Edgeley. In 1977, when his parents retired from farming, he took over the operation of the farm.
Lester was a member of the Assembly of God, Kulm, ND. He had earned his pilot's license and enjoyed flying.
Survivors include his wife, Audrey, Edgeley, ND; 4 children: Susan (Steve) Larson, West Fargo, ND; Warren (Chris) Pauling, Bismarck, ND; Nancy Truong, Farmington, MN; Natalie (Robert) Henke, Fargo, ND; 12 grandchildren; 3 siblings: Roger (DeLome) Pauling, Edgeley, ND; Phyllis Smith, New Haven, MI and Joyce Wilhelm, New Castle, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Judy Stevens and an infant brother.
Funeral - 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2007 at Wesley United Methodist Church, Edgeley, ND.
Prayer Service - 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2007 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Edgeley, ND
Visitation - 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2007 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Edgeley, ND
Interment - Mount Hope Cemetery, Edgeley, ND.
