Letha Turnquist

Letha B. Turnquist, 86, Jamestown, North Dakota, died Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home in Jamestown.

Letha B. Bosworth was born December 17, 1921 in Raleigh, ND, the daughter of Glen and Elva Grace (Parr) Bosworth. She grew up in the Flasher, ND area, attended school there and graduated from Flasher High School. She married Edward R. Wells and lived and raised their family southwest of Cooperstown, and later they divorced. On January 15, 1971, Letha married Donald R. Turnquist in Cooperstown. They moved to Jamestown where she lived until he died in 1992.

Letha enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and visiting with her family and friends.

Letha is survived by three sons, Francis (Pat) Bickel, Berne, IN, Richard Wells, Des Moines, IA and Roger (Kathy) Wells, Welcome, MN; three daughters, Judy (James) Rahlf, Cooperstown, ND, Cheryl (James) Holloway, Jamestown and Bonnie (Eugene) Pittenger, Binford, ND; two stepsons, Kenneth (Linda) Turnquist, Cedar Rapids, IA and Richard Turnquist, Sacramento, CA; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; 5 step-grandhildren; one brother, Kenneth (Norma) Bosworth, Ridgeville, IN; and two sisters, Janeane Norris, Celina, OH and Sharon (Paul) Stanton, Poneto, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Don; one sister; three brothers; infant twin daughters and one stepson, Robert.

Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Monday, May 19, 2008 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown, with Pastor Rich Fitzer officiating.

Visitation: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Monday, May 19, 2008 at Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown and one hour before the service at the church.

Burial: Cooperstown Cemetery, Cooperstown, North Dakota
