Lillian Rowell

Lillian Rowell, 65, Jamestown, North Dakota died Sunday, November 21, 2004 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home in Jamestown.

Lillian was born May 12, 1939 in Deer Lake Township, north of Windsor, North Dakota, the daughter of Gilbert, Sr. and Clara (Skare) Benson. She grew up on the farm north of Windsor and was educated in Deer Lake Township school and at Jamestown High School. She married Donald R. Rowell on October 18, 1958 in Jamestown. Lillian worked various jobs in Jamestown and raised her family. Donald died October 13, 1999.

Lillian always cared for the well being of others and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.

She was a member of the Pentecostal Church, Jamestown and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Lillian is survived by her three children; Dennis (Bonnie) Rowell, Valley City, ND, Dean (Patty) Rowell, Jamestown and Donna Rowell, Jamestown; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Burton (Verlyn) Benson, Edward (Shirley) Benson and Gilbert (Delphine) Benson, all of Jamestown; four sisters, Gladys Thelen, Randall, MN, Pearl Preuss, Mesa, AZ, Myrtle Schutt and Freda Telken both of Jamestown and two half-brothers, Benny Benson, Decora, Iowa and Kenneth Benson, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother, Arnold Benson.

Funeral Service: 3:00 PM, Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, with Rev. Michael Woods officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota
