Lloyd Paul Haas, 71, Jamestown, North Dakota died Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at Kindred Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona, following a long battle with cancer.
Mr. Haas was born September 21, 1934 in Gackle, ND, the son of Gottlieb and Emma (Walcker) Haas. He grew up on the family farm and attended country schools. Lloyd married Sharon Bietz on January 26, 1958 in Jamestown. He continued to farm the family's homestead where he raised cattle and grains.
Lloyd was active in the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Cleveland and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Sharon, of Jamestown; two children, Cynthia Golden and Kevin (Sara) Haas, both of Jamestown; four grandchildren: Joshua (Andrea) Golden, Honolulu, HI, Crystal (Grant) Krapp, Abriel Haas and Natasha Haas all of Jamestown; two sisters and two brothers, Edna Haas, Lodi, CA, Ben (Maryann) Haas, Beaverton, OR, Clara Dagastino, St. Paul, MN and Tim (Debbie) Haas, Lodi, CA and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, one son, Gregory Haas, three brothers, one sister and a brother-in-law.
Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Jamestown with Pastor Van Hurst and Pastor David Stuart officiating.
Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, September 18, 2006 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.
Prayer Service: 7:00 PM, Monday, September 18, 2006 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel.
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, North Dakota.
