Lois E (Greenstein) Peplinski

Lois E. Peplinski, 84, of Jamestown, ND, passed away late Friday evening, March 24, 2023 at SMP Health – Ave Maria, Jamestown.

Lois was born December 3, 1938, in Jamestown, the daughter of Andrew E. and Mary (Enzminger) Greenstein.  She attended Jamestown schools and graduated in 1956, after which Lois worked at the Fair Store, City Laundry and Dry Cleaners, and Harr’s Restaurant.  She was a shy city girl who married Ernest Peplinski on December 10, 1959, and became a farmer’s wife.  She enjoyed working on the farm next to Ernest taking care of chickens, ducks, geese, pigs and cattle.  Lois liked to go fishing at the Buchanan Bridge and did a lot of canning in the fall.

Lois was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Jamestown.

She is survived by her son, Edward (Jennifer) Peplinski; two brothers, Glenn and George Greenstein; and many nieces and nephews.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robert, Raymond, and James; and sisters, Helen K. Lewis, Violet Moen, and Mary Marge Hastings.

Memorial Service – 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.
