Lois LuVern (Krueger) Shank, 91, Jamestown, ND, died September 7, 2014 at Eventide Hi-Acres Manor, Jamestown, ND. Lois was born November 25, 1922 in Jamestown, ND, the daughter of Henry and Esther (Bryne) Krueger. Lois was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church. She graduated from Jamestown High School and Central Dakota Commercial College.
Lois served in World War II in WAVES, November 2, 1944 to April 8, 1946 as Specialist (Q) (IN) 2 C in Navy Department & Bureau of Standards.
She worked for Montgomery Ward in Denver Colorado, Owens Illinois Glass Co., in Oakland, California and Midland Continental RR, March 1, 1943 until October, 1974 as bookkeeper and Assistant Auditor in Jamestown.
Lois married Kenneth Shank, March 6, 1952. She enjoyed dancing, fishing, bowling, golf and bingo. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and V.F.W Auxiliary.
Survived by two sister-in-laws, Esther Strausberg and Alyce Krueger; many nieces and nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews including Mike Krueger, Dave Krueger, Scott Krueger, Gloria Langstaff, Doug Krueger and Janice Krueger.
Preceded in death by husband, parents, and two brothers, Gerald and Donald.
Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Friday, September 12, 2014, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Kristi Weber officiating.
Burial: Highland Home Cemetery
