Lois Ulrich, 67, Jamestown, North Dakota, died Sunday, December 28, 2008 at MedCenter One Hosptial in Bismarck, ND.
Lois Ambers was born February 27, 1941 in Hamberg, ND, the daughter of Harry and Esther (Dahl) Ambers. She grew up on the family farm near Hamberg and was educated in Hamberg schools. On June 21, 1957 Lois married Wallace Don Ulrich in New Rockford, ND. She lived in New Rockford and worked at the Wonder Lanes Café, the Rockford Café and the American Creamery, all in New Rockford. She also worked at the Sportsmans Bar in Spiritwood.
Lois was a member of the American Legion for 39 years and played pool in Jamestown with the Jamestown Pool Assn. She liked to feed and watch the birds and she enjoyed gardening, playing bingo, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Lois is survived by one daughter, Sheila (Todd) Olson, Jamestown; seven sons, Allen (Sherri) Ulrich and Donnie (Tiki) Ulrich, both of Jamestown, Steven (Betty) Ulrich, Ritzville, WA, Terence Ulrich, Sr. and Dennis Ulrich, both of Jamestown, Danny (Carol) Ulrich, Lake Lenore, CA and James (Renee) Ulrich, Jamestown; 19 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Harry and Rick Ambers; and two sisters, Henora Olson and Marsha Pahl.
Funeral Service: 1:00 PM, Friday, January 2, 2009 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown with Pastor Leon Zavadil officiating.
Visitation: 1:00 to 5:00 PM, Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at the Eddy Funeral Home.
Burial: Prairie Home Cemetery, New Rockford, North Dakota.
