It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of Lora Jean Ganser (maiden name Maine), who passed away on December 23, 2024, at the age of 90, with her two daughters by her side. Born on December 9 in Barnes County, North Dakota, she was the beloved daughter of Alfred and Edna Maine.
Lora married the love of her life, John Ganser, on July 17, 1954. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love. She was the devoted mother of five children and cherished the blessings of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even a great-great-granddaughter.
An incredible homemaker, she was a great cook and an incredible baker. She had a passion for birds, cultivated the most beautiful flower gardens, and enjoyed her daily crossword puzzles. A talented bowler, Lora spent many years working at Buffalo Lanes, where her skills and camaraderie left lasting memories. Later in life, she found joy playing cards for nickels with friends at Edgewood, where she retired and formed a strong support system filled with beautiful friendships. Her beautiful smile and clever wit brought joy and laughter to all who knew her. Lora’s memory will be cherished by her family and all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and countless warm memories.
A celebration of her life will be held 4:00 p.m., Friday, December 27, 2024 at Eddy Funeral Home.
