Loretta Pomplun

Loretta M. Pomplun, 74, Jamestown, North Dakota died Friday, June 18, 2004 at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Loretta Mae Wynes was born August 29, 1929 in Jamestown the daughter of Paul and Rita (Proctor) Wynes. She attended school at Spiritwood, ND. She married Philip Jung on January 29, 1947 in Butte, MT. They lived in Billings, MT, Fargo, ND and Fort Yates, ND. Philip died July 28, 1967. Loretta married Robert Pomplun July 28, 1978 in Bismarck, ND. They resided in Jamestown. Loretta retired from the ND State Hospital in August 1992.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, the Priscilla Circle, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Independent Order of Foresters.

Loretta is survived by her husband, Robert; one daughter, Connie Kelly, Boise, ID; four sons, Philip (Darlene) Jung of Williston, ND, Bill Jung, Tom (Verla) Jung and Dave (Lynn) Jung, all of Jamestown; a step-son, Jeff (Tana) Pomplun, Bismarck; four sisters, Bette Sabin, Foxboro, WI, Connie Hall, Des Moines, IA, Marie (James) Pfarr, Cleveland, ND and Sandra (Paul) Upton, Jamestown; one brother, Paul (Anita) Wynes, Jr., Apple Valley, MN; twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Philip Jung and five sisters.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Monday, June 21, 2004 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Rev. Dennis Ellingsen officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 9:00 PM, Sunday, June 20, 2004 at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Prayer Service: 7:00 PM, Sunday, June 20, 2004 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, ND.
