Lorraine Hoffman

Lorraine Hoffman, 92, Jamestown, ND passed away Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Ave Maria Village Nursing Home, Jamestown, ND.
Lorraine Hertel was born June 22, 1924 in Pettibone, ND to Jacob and Emma (Gruebele) Hertel. She attended school and graduated from Jamestown High School. Lorraine married Donald L. Hoffman in Aberdeen, SD in 1948.
When most of her 10 children were no longer at home, she began work at Western Gear and worked until her retirement at which times she and Donald escaped the brutal ND winters and traveled to AZ and CA.
Lorraine enjoyed puzzles, card games, casinos, gardening, canning, baking and sewing. The true love of her life was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her home was always open to all.
She is survived by her children, Mary Lou (Billie) Fuller, Cleveland, ND, Norma Kaiser, Jamestown, ND, Steve (Loretta) Hoffman, Calamus, IA, Patricia (Randolph) Siegle, Jamestown, ND, Alan (Teresa) Hoffman, Maquoketa, IA, Rosemarie Pitts, Jamestown, ND, Daniel (Teri) Hoffman, Henry, SD, James Hoffman, Jamestown, ND, Heidi (Steve) Kleingartner, Gackle, ND, Teresa Gray, Jamestown, ND; 23 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; two sisters, June Mayer, Casselton, ND, Alvina Anderson, Fargo, ND. Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Hoffman, parents, two sons-in-law Thomas Kaiser and Thomas Pitts, five sisters and three brothers.
Memorials to JRMC Hospice and Ave Maria Village.

Memorial Service: 10:00 AM, Thursday, December 15 at Good Shepherd Chapel, Ave Maria Village Nursing Home, Jamestown, ND.
