Louis Timm, 80, Kensal, North Dakota died Thursday, May 27, 2004 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Center, Jamestown.
Louis was born February 26, 1924 on a farm south of Kensal, North Dakota the son of Leo and Anna (Forsberg) Timm. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Kensal, ND. Louis attended a country school south of Kensal and graduated from Kensal High School in 1941. He attended Wapheton State School of Science, then returned to the family farm where he made his home and living. Louis married Hertha Puhlmann on August 11, 1968 in Kulm, North Dakota. They built a home on the farmstead near Kensal where they have lived since.
Louis was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Kensal where he was an active member. He served as a church elder, as a member of the ASCS committee, Stutsman County Water Board, Kensal School Board, Kensal Cemetery Board and the Kensal Township Board.
Working the land, fencing and raising cattle were his passions. He enjoyed his family, playing cards, and socializing with neighbors and friends.
Louis is survived by his wife, Hertha, two daughters, Mary Beth Timm (fiance Dan Sutton), Flandreau, SD and Karen Timm of Poulsbo, WA; two sisters, Dorothy Junell, Bremerton, WA and Darlene Rask, St. Paul, MN and two brothers, Robert (Helen) Timm, Kensal and Jerome Timm of Valley City, ND.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Leon and Russell.
Memorial Service: 1:30 PM, Monday, May 31, 2004 at St. Paul's Lutheran in Kensal with Rev. Robert Leiste officiating.
No Visitation is scheduled.
Prayer Service: 6:00 PM, Sunday, May 30, 2004 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel.
Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
Memorials may be given to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the Alzheimer's Association or donor's choice.
