Louise Goodrich

Louise Goodrich, 70, Edgeley, ND, died Saturday, August 19, 2006 at her home in Edgeley, ND.
Louise Genga was born June 25, 1936 at Marion, VA, the daughter of Luigi and Lacy (Henderson) Genga. She was raised and attended school in Marion, VA, graduating from Marion High School in 1954. Louise attended nursing school in Marion and became an LPN. She worked as a nurse for Dr. Charles Thompson in Marion, VA. On May 21, 1958, she married Clifford Goodrich at Sparta, North Carolina and they lived at Virginia Beach, VA, while Clifford was serving in the United States Navy. Following Clifford's discharge and retirement, they continued to live in Virginia Beach for a short time before moving to Marion, VA. In 1990, they moved to Edgeley, ND where they have resided until the present.
Louise enjoyed working in her yard, flower gardening and reading. She taught Sunday School and Adult Bible Class while in Marion, VA. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Edgeley, ND, a member of the Presbyterian Women, and an elder in the Presbyterian Church and a member of the Presbyterian Session.
Survivors include her husband, Clifford, Edgeley, ND; 2 daughters: Mildred (Greg) Russell, Chilhowie, VA; Nancy (Bill) Dixon, Chilhowie, VA; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 1 sister, Mary Vernon, Church Hill TN and a brother, Charles Genga, Petersburg, VA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Josephine Gregory and a brother, Lewis Genga.
Funeral Service - 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at First Presbyterian, Edgeley, ND with Reverend Joan Swanson officiating
Visitation - 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Edgeley, ND
Interment - Mount Hope Cemetery, Edgeley, ND
