Louise Harshman

Louise ( Rowell ) Harshman, 89, passed away peacefully July 6th, 2021 at Ave Marie Village, in Jamestown, ND.

Louise was born on February 27, 1932 to Henry and Bertha (Baker) Rowell in Jamestown,ND.

She grew up and attended school in Jamestown. She later married Arnold Harshman in 1950. They had six daughters together. They lived in Jamestown until 1961, then moved to Spiritwood,  ND. Shortly after her husband passed away in 1993, Louise moved back to Jamestown. In 2004 she moved to Binford, ND to be closer to one of her daughters.

Louise moved into Ave Marie Village, April 2019. Many thanks to the staff of Ave Marie Village for their dedicated care of our mother. A few months ago our mother was under the care of Red River Valley Hospice team. She so enjoyed Pastor Dave’s singing, and praying with her. Our family is so grateful for the hospice team’s loving care of our mother.

Survivors include her daughters, Mary A. Donegan, Champlin, MN, Dorothy Burton, Jamestown, ND, Chris (Ken) Rickford, Binford, ND, and Kelly (Marv) Kamlitz, Milnor, ND; and 10 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughters, Carol McGillivary, Deb Harshman; and son-in-law, Bill McGillivary.

Memorial Service - 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 26, 2021 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Burial - Spiritwood Cemetery, Spiritwood, ND.
