Lucy Croce

Lucy Croce, 74, New Rockford, ND, died Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at her home.

Lucy was born April 2, 1938 in Jamestown, the daughter of Frank and Esther (Hust) Miemietz. She attended St. John's Academy in Jamestown and nursing school in Chicago where she received her LPN degree. On June 15, 1956 Lucy married Dwane Chura in Yuma, AZ. They later divorced. Lucy married Bob Croce. She worked at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in New Rockford.

Lucy's hobbies included reading, crocheting and embroidery. She was a Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. Lucy loved talking about her great-grandson, Weston.

Lucy is survived by two children, Jeff Chura and Joni (Loren) Dalke, both of Jamestown; grandson, Jeremy (Laurel) Chura and great-grandson, Weston, Fargo, ND; one brother, Duke (Carolyn) Miemietz, Jamestown; four sisters, Dorothy (Kenneth) Kracht, Carrington, ND, Joyce (Maylen) Buetow, Rapid City, SD, Terri (Elmer) Moran, Jamestown and Michele (Rob) Rockey, Pewaukee, WI; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and special friend, Marjorie Kleinsasser, New Rockford.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
