Lyle J. Dunwoody, 54, Jamestown, North Dakota, formerly of Pingree, ND, died Monday, July 25, 2005 at his home in Jamestown.
Mr. Dunwoody was born December 10, 1950 in Jamestown, the son of Howard and Laura (Bennett) Dunwoody. He graduated from Pingree High School in 1968 and attended North Dakota State School of Science. He worked at Haybusters and later at Duratech Industries. Lyle owned and operated L & J Repair in Pingree for many years. He married Kay Diane Van Dyke on December 30, 1982 in Aberdeen, SD.
Lyle's hobbies included hunting and fishing, baseball and coaching softball.
Lyle is survived by his four children, Jason Dunwoody, Lisbon, ND; Amy Dunwoody, Fargo, ND; Patrick Dunwoody and Jerome Dunwoody, both of Jamestown, his mother, Laura Hall, Jamestown; four grandchildren, Trevor & Gage, Austin & Adrian; two sisters, Vicki (John) McCall, Clinton, MS and Cindy Berg, Rock Lake, ND and two brothers, Glenn (Robin) Dunwoody, Jamestown and Wayne (Janell) Dunwoody, Pingree.
He was preceded in death by his father and wife.
Memorial Service: 10:30 AM, Friday, July 29, 2005 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bryce Tahran officiating.
No visitation is scheduled.
Burial: Pingree Cemetery, Pingree, North Dakota.
