Lyle ""Trapper"" Lawrence, 56, Jamestown, North Dakota died Sunday, June 29, 2008 at Innovis Hospital in Fargo, ND.
Trapper was born July 7, 1951 in Jamestown, the son of Dana Wright and Opal Evelyn (Hooge) Lawrence. He grew up in Jamestown, graduated in 1969 from Jamestown High School and from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. On March 9, 1984 Trapper married Tena Vedvig in Jamestown. He worked as a purchasing agent for WedgCor Manufacturing in Jamestown for 31 years.
Trapper was a member of Ducks Unlimited, the Elks and the Buffalo City Gun Club.
He enjoyed baseball, hunting, running, and spending time with his friends and family, especially his daughters.
Trapper is survived by his wife, Tena; two daughters, Megan and Jessica Lawrence; parents, Dana and Opal Lawrence, all of Jamestown; one sister, Betty (Jack) Salszeider, Des Moines, IA; two brothers, Jim (Debra) Lawrence, Charlotte, NC and Ray (Jody) Lawrence, Jamestown; father-in-law, Duane Vedvig, Jamestown and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and mother-in-law, Dorothy Vedvig.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.
Memorial Service: 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at the Reiland Fine Arts Center, Jamestown College, Jamestown, ND.
Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
