Lynn McKenzie, 37, Courtenay, North Dakota, died Monday, July 28, 2003 in Kearney, Nebraska. Sharon Lynn was born November 19, 1965 in Casper, Wyoming the daughter of Robert Eugene and Connie McEwen. She moved with her family to Valley City, ND where she attended school until moving to Jamestown in 1980. She married Boyd McKenzie on January 4, 1988 in Jamestown. They lived at Courtenay where they farmed and did custom harvesting. Lynn and Boyd owned and operated the Courtenay Bar & Grill from 1986 to 1990. She also worked at Marsolek's Pub & Grub in Courtenay and Red's Bar in Glenfield.
Lynn enjoyed shooting pool, going to the lake and watching her children in various sporting events. She rarely missed a ballgame. Being with her husband and family was the love of her life. She was also a very artistic person and had a real talent for drawing and decorating.
Lynn is survived by her husband, one son, Logan of Bismarck, four daughters, Kasandra, Leigh, Chelsea and Lacey all at home, her mother, Connie LaRoque, Oriska, ND one sister, Donna (Cameron) Tabbert, Marion, ND, two brothers, Robert McEwen, Grafton, ND and Jim (Abigail) McEwen, Fargo, ND, a half brother, Mason McEwen, Idaho, a half sister, Michelle McEwen, Idaho, her father and mother-in-law, Harlan and Ardis McKenzie, Courtenay, one sister-in-law, Ruleen (Jeff) McMillan, Wimbledon, ND and a brother-in-law, Kevin (Pam) McKenzie, Spurger, TX.
She was preceded in death by her father, one sister, Diane Lynn McEwen and a special aunt, Evelyn Hovde.
Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Saturday, August 2, 2003 in the Exchequer Room at the Jamestown Civic Center, Jamestown, ND with Cameron Tabbert officiating.
Visitation: 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Friday, August 1, 2003 at Eddy Funeral Home.
Prayer Service: 7:30 PM, Friday, August 1, 2003 at Eddy Funeral Chapel.
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, North Dakota.
