Mabel Kanewischer

Mabel Irene Kanewischer, Jamestown, ND, died September 25, 2013 at the age of 91. Mabel was born on September 18, 1922. She was born and raised in Fredonia, ND. She married Otto Kanewischer in 1943. They moved to Jamestown where they raised their four children.

Mabel enjoyed volunteer work at Ave Maria, the Anne Carlsen School and Concordia Lutheran Church. She enjoyed her long daily walks, collecting thimbles and star/moon gazing.

Mabel is survived by her four children Cindy, St. Paul, MN; David (Gwen) White Bear Lake, MN; Dennis (Lori) Fallbrook, CA; Steven (Monica) Franklin, TN; her three sisters, Marcella and Ginny of Fargo ND, and Adeline of Bismarck ND. Also, nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren, including the newest great grandchild, Ivy Mabel, whom was named after Mabel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold & Elizabeth Gutschmidt, husband Otto of 66 years, and one sister, Florence.
