Mabel Wilson, 91, Jamestown, North Dakota, died Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home, Jamestown.
Mabel Ruddy was born December 24, 1913 in Mobridge, South Dakota the daughter of Joseph and Ida (Hansen) Ruddy.
Mabel spent most of her adult life in Jamestown and graduated from St. John's Academy. She married Floyd Wilson on May 25, 1935. He died in July 1996. She worked at F.W. Woolworth, Co. as a Personnel Director until 1975 when she retired.
She enjoyed family gatherings with all her children and grandchildren, crocheting and crossword puzzles, and watching the pro basketball games on T.V.
Mabel is survived by a daughter, Catherine (Vernon) Herman, Jamestown, a son, Donald (Shirley) Wilson, Kooskia, Idaho, five grandchildren; David, Debbie, Pam, Cheryl and Mike and eleven great-grandchildren, one sister, Ethel Pendray, Rodondo Beach, CA, two sisters-in-law, Lillian DeLong and Zelma Wilson, both of Jamestown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a son, Dennis, one sister and 3 brothers.
Funeral Mass: 10:30 AM, Saturday, August 27, 2005 at the Basilica of St. James in Jamestown with Father Al Bitz officiating.
Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, August 26, 2005 at the Eddy Funeral Home.
Vigil: 7:00 PM, Friday, August 26, 2005 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel.
Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
