Mable P. (Denning) Zimmerman, 91, Dickinson, ND formerly of Jamestown, ND died Tuesday, June 21 at St. Luke's Nursing Home in Dickinson, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's.
Mable was born May 19, 1925, at her parents residence in Ashley, ND the daughter of John and Lydia Denning. She grew up and attended country school NW of Ashley until 8th grade. She received her GED later in life. Mable's mother passed away when she was 16 years old.
On November 13, 1947, she married Phillip Zimmerman in Ashley, ND. Mable worked for the ND State Hospital for 27 years in housekeeping and laundry. Phillip passed away December 21, 1996. She continued to make her home in Jamestown until 2006, when she moved to Dickinson to be close to family. Mable was a member of First Baptist Church and taught Sunday School and was involved with the lady's missions. She enjoyed sewing, baking, gardening and taking care of her family.
Mable is survived by her children; Elene (Bill) Takach, Liberty, TX, Cammy (Duane) Grandbois, Chaska, MN, Rodney (Melody) Zimmerman, Dickinson, ND; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two step-grandchildren; three brothers, Norman (Sharon) Denning, Carl Denning, Glenn (Vi Martz) Denning; one sister, Geraldine Berkholtz; one sister-in-law, Joyce Denning; two step-sisters, Gladys (Harvey) Wanner, Bernice Diede. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son Russel, three sisters and three brothers.

Funeral service: 10:30 AM, Saturday, June 25 at Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Bryce Tahran, officiating.
Visitation: one hour before the service.
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens.
