Mamie Pfarr, 98, Jamestown, N.D. died Tuesday, October 8, 2002 at Hi-Acres Manor in Jamestown, N.D.

Mamie Zach was born October 27, 1903 at Cedar Falls, IA the daughter of Louis and Sylvia (Clemens) Zach. She received her education in Cedar Falls and finished school at Lamberton, MN. She moved to North Dakota with an aunt in 1918.

Mamie married William Pfarr on October 19, 1920 in Jamestown, N.D. They moved to a farm north of Windsor where they made their home for 50 years. After 1950, Mamie worked in local hospitals for five years, while William Pfarr worked as an electrician. They moved into Jamestown on March 15, 1973. William died on October 20, 1988.

Mamie is survived by two granddaughters, Darlene Volkman, of Renton, WA; Violet (David) Gray, of Jamestown, N.D.; one brother, Russell (Ione) Zach, of Cedar Falls, IA; five great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two daughters (Alice and Ellen Ruby).

Graveside Service: 2:00 P.M. - Friday, October 12, 2002 at Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, N.D., with Pastor Bryce Tahran officiating.

Visitation: Thursday, October 11, 2002 1:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown, N.D.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery - Jamestown, N.D.
