Margaret Irene McBride

Margaret McBride 84, died on Monday, August 30, 2021at Ave Maria Village Nursing Home.

Margaret Irene Morris was born on August 9, 1937 in Woodworth, ND to Alice (Miller) and Elmer Morris.

She grew up in Jamestown, ND. She graduated from Jamestown High School in 1955. She worked as a telephone operator. Margaret married Paul McBride on April 5, 1959 at Our Savor's Lutheran Church in Jamestown. They had 3 children. She was a member and worked as a church secretary at Concordia Lutheran Church in Jamestown. She was a lifetime member of Lutheran Women's Missionary League and the church quilting group. She volunteered at the Jamestown Hospital Gift Shop and the Pride of Dakota Gift Shop. She enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge and pinochle.

She is survived by her children, Mark (Carmen) McBride of Jamestown, ND; Rachel Nelles of Fargo, ND; David (Kris) McBride of Shevlin, MN, grandchildren Ryan McBride, Parker McBride, and Shannon McBride; sister Dorothy Docktor and many nieces and nephews.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; her mother Alice and her father Elmer; her sisters Velma Roeske and Velmas's husband Leroy Roeske; June Leddy and June's husband Jack Leddy; her brother-in-law Stanley Docktor, and her son-in-law Dale Nelles.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to American Cancer Society.

Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Eddy Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Friday, September 3 at Concordia Lutheran Church with Pastor Tom Eckstein officiating.  Interment will be in Highland Home Cemetery.
