Margaret E. Patterson, 78, Jamestown, died Tuesday, May 2, in Ave Maria Village.

Margaret Elaine Rudnick was born in Jamestown, ND, on May 28, 1938. The daughter of Max and Margaret (Powell) Rudnick of rural Jamestown.

She was raised on the family farm in rural Jamestown. She attended Buchanan Public School and Jamestown Public School. She graduated from Jamestown High School on May 28, 1956.

She married the love of her life, Jerald Patterson, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wimbledon, ND, on November 21, 1959.

She was employed at Sunset Café, Eddy Furniture, N.W. Bell Telephone Co., National Tea Grocery, and US Bank as a teller, head bookkeeper and personal banker. She retired from US Bank in 1990.

She was confirmed at Concordia Lutheran Church and was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church both in Jamestown.

As a youth she enjoyed roller skating at Spiritwood Lake where she met her husband Jerry. She also enjoyed cross stitching, making baby quilts for loved ones and watching NFL football games.

She dearly loved her husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and their many family fur babies.

She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Jodi (Donald) O’Neill, Jamestown; a son, Jay (Renee) Patterson, Republic, MO; four grandchildren, Logan (Katherine) Henderson, Oklahoma City, OK; Shannon Henderson (Bobby Kesler), West Fargo, ND; Alicia Patterson and Nathan Patterson, Republic, MO; four great grandchildren, Korban, Silas and Rowan Henderson, Oklahoma City, OK; Makayla Henderson, West Fargo, ND; three sisters, Leona Weisser, Jamestown; Linda (Michael) Calkins, rural Jamestown; Diane Williams, Jamestown; four brothers, Leo (Sharon), LaPalma, CA; Donald (Darla), Fargo, ND; Gerald (Joan), Jamestown; Kenneth, Jamestown; a sister in-law, Bernice Rudnick, Glendive, MT; a brother in-law, John Kartes, Jamestown; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Lewis, Robert and Ralph; two sisters, Evelyn Crowder, Mary Jean Kartes; a sister in-law, Clifta Rudnick; and three brother in-laws, Mark Williams, Arlo Weisser and Vernon Crowder.

Memorial service will be 2:30 PM, Monday, May 8, 2017 at Good Shepherd Chapel, Ave Maria Village, Jamestown, ND with Deacon Ken Votava, officiating.
