Margaret Jean Rau

Margaret Jean Rau, 89, Medina, ND passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Sanford Hospital, Bismarck, ND.
Margaret Jean Rau was born August 26, 1926, the daughter of Martin and Nellie (Fjug) Nygaard, in Fargo, ND. She attended school in Detroit Lakes, MN and Twin Valley, MN graduating in May, 1945. She worked at the Standard Oil offices in Fargo, ND for many years. She married Duane Rau in May 1952. After his discharge from the U.S. Air Force, they made their home on his family's farm south of Medina, ND. She was a member of United Church of Christ, Medina and Legion Auxiliary.
Margaret is survived by her husband, Duane Rau, Medina, ND; they had four children, daughter, Carol (Ron) Enger, Mayville, ND; three sons, Bruce (Ardella), Brian (Elly) and Neal (Tammy), all from Medina, ND; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; one sister, Lorrayne Lindsoe, Fargo, ND. She was preceded in death by one sister, one brother and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 16 at United Church of Christ, Medina, ND with Pastor Martin Nussbaum and Vernon Bader, officiating.
Visitation: one hour before the service at church.
Burial: Medina Cemetery.
