Marian M. Johnson

Marian Johnson, 96, Jamestown, North Dakota passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Ave Maria Village, ND.

Marian was born January 13, 1924 to Anton and Rena (Fettig) Feist on the family farm at Dunn Center, ND. She graduated high school at Dunn Center in 1942.

Marian married the love of her life, Wilbur Berg on June 6, 1944. They moved to Jamestown in 1953 where Wilber was employed with Northern Pacific Railroad. He passed away at the young age of 42 in 1964.

She married Delmont “Ole” Johnson in September of 1967. They moved to Elgin and later moved to Killdeer, ND and opened the Bronco Bar. They returned to Jamestown in 2005. Delmont passed away July 4, 2013. Marian was a member of the St. James Basilica.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, one son; Sylvan, two brothers; Daniel and Jerry Feist, two sisters; Helen Charchenko and Delores Wolff.

Marian is survived by her son; Dennis (Vanessa) Berg, Pensacola, FL, daughter; Rena (John) Lang, Jamestown, step-daughters; Ded (Dale) Vincent, Bismarck, Diana Dockter, Fargo, seven grandchildren, and her brother; Maynard (Carole) Feist, Billings, MT.

Memorial Mass: 10:00 AM, Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at St. James Basilica with Father Pfau officiating.

Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown.

Arrangements are in the care of Williams Funeral Home.
