Marie A Cuypers

Marie A. Cuypers, 60, of Dickey, ND, passed away Friday evening, February 27, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.

Marie Ann Peterson was born on May 31, 1954, in Oakes, ND, the daughter of Curt and Adeline (Lacina) Peterson. She lived near Fullerton, ND with her family and attended school in Fullerton. Marie and Gregory Cuypers were married on October 16, 1976 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fullerton. They made their home on a dairy farm south of Dickey until 1991, when they moved into Dickey. Marie was a fabulous cook. She managed and worked at the Dickey Café for 27 years. She enjoyed baking, cooking, reading cook books as well as golfing, flowers & gardening, and camping. Marie had fun hosting big family events throughout the years.

Marie is survived by her husband, Gregory Cuypers, Dickey, three children, Kyle Cuypers, Ryan (Ashley) Cuypers, and Kristen Cuypers; two grandchildren, Carter and Jarret; her mother, Adeline Peterson; ten siblings, Bonnie (Chad) Lommen, Duane (Patty) Peterson, Darrell Peterson, Leonard (Patty) Peterson, Renee (Steve) Schlosser, Randy Peterson, Jim (Tina) Peterson, Steve (Christy) Peterson, Lisa (Mark) Burns, Michelle Peterson; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Curt Peterson, and grandparents, Albert & Valley (Belle) Peterson and Mary & Emil Lacina.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 6, 2015 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, LaMoure, ND, with Father Jerome Okafor officiating.

Prayer Service: 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, LaMoure.

Interment: Dickey Cemetery, Dickey.
