Marie Fossum

Marie Fossum, 93, Jamestown, ND died Sunday, October 2, 2005 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home, Jamestown.

Marie Saint was born July 23, 1912 in Mapes, ND, the daughter of Emil and Margurite (Lepine) Saint. She attended and graduated from McHenry High School. Marie worked at Trinity Hospital in Jamestown where she attained a degree in nursing. She married Jack A. Fossum on February 15, 1942 in Minneapolis, MN. They made their home in Jamestown where she worked for Jamestown Hospital and Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home. Jack died on February 7, 1998.

Marie was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, Jamestown where she was active in circle.

She is survived by one son, John (Shelly) Fossum of Jamestown, ND; one daughter, Judy (Gordon) Oswald of Phoenix, AZ; 4 grandchildren, Pam (Mike) Hattasch, Jody (Al) Wolf, Steve Oswald, and Megan Fossum; 3 great grandchildren, Austin Wolf, Justin Wolf, and Carly Jo Wolf; one brother, Emil Saint of Williston, ND; and one sister, Leona (Orris) Sandbeck of Shelton, WA.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Fossum; and 4 brothers, Abbie, George, John, and Marcel.

Funeral Service: 2:00PM, Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at First Congregational United Church of Christ, Jamestown with Pastor Barbara Murray officiating.

Visitation: Tuesday, October 4, 2005 from 1:00PM to 8:00PM at the Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.
