Marie B. Kracht

Marie B. Kracht, 83, Kensal, North Dakota died Thursday, May 18, 2006 at her home.

Marie was born on October 18, 1922, north of Kensal, ND in Bucephalia Township. Her parents were Carl and Alma (Pedersen) Wulff. She attended country schools and graduated from Kensal High School in 1940. After high school, she worked in Hopkins, MN. She married Bertel Kracht on July 10, 1942 in Jamestown, ND. Bert and Marie had two children, Darold and Karen.

Marie worked several years in the Kensal store, followed by many years in the Kensal Café. Her best job was being a wife, mother and grandmother.

She and Bert spent the last several winters in Mesa, Arizona.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening and sewing.

Marie is survived by her husband, Bert of Kensal; son, Darold (Theresa) Kracht, Kensal, a daughter, Karen (Bernard) Hoggarth, Grand Forks, ND; seven grandchildren: Kimberly (Joel) Beiswenger, Wadena, MN, Stacy (Rhondelle) Hoggarth, St. Cloud, MN, Christina Kracht, Denver, CO, Lisa (Chris) Mack, Williston, ND, Scott (Kathy) Hoggarth, Minneapolis, MN, Sean Hoggarth, Fort Collins, CO, RaeAnn (Mitchell) Kamlitz, Jamestown; four great granddaughters and seven great grandsons, one sister, Beulah Desenberg, Norwalk, IA and many sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Anne Neva, Dagny Probst and Helen Wulff.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Monday, May 22, 2006 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bryce Tahran officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Sunday, May 21, 2006 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.

Burial: Kensal Cemetery, Kensal, North Dakota.
