Marilyn Himmerich

Marilyn Himmerich, 74, Jamestown, North Dakota died Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at Jamestown Hospital.

Marilyn Knutson was born April 14, 1935 in Belgrade, Minnesota, the daughter of Bennie and Ida (Knutson) Knutson. She attended school at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN and North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton, ND. On August 16, 1957 Marilyn married Lawrence Himmerich in Minneapolis, MN. They moved to Jamestown in 1958 and she has lived here ever since. Marilyn worked for Pamida, Economy Cleaners and Hardee's Restaurant in Jamestown.

She enjoyed reading and writing letters.

Marilyn is survived by two daughters, Doris Mote, Prescott, AZ and Sandra (Loren) Gumke, Jamestown; three grandchildren; and one brother, Alvin (Gwyn) Knutson, Black River Falls, WI.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and one son, Dan, in 1995.
