Marjorie Bjerke

Marjorie Bjerke, 89, Jamestown, ND passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at SMP Health – Ave Maria, Jamestown, ND.

Marjorie DeBoer was born July 20, 1935 at Springfield, SD to Martin and Ester (Dahlenburg) DeBoer.  She attended school in Armour and Wagner, SD.

On February 23, 1955 she married Ernest Bjerke of Devils Lake, ND.  Marjorie and Ernest had four children; one son Dale (Marie) Bjerke, three daughters Sherri (Dennis) Weixel, Wanda (Rod) Olson and Melissa Murray.  She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, one great-great grandson; one sister Lila Letcher, one sister-in-law Sheila DeBoer.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest, parents, sister Marlene Wiebelhaus, brothers Harlan DeBoer, Robert DeBoer, grandson Jeremiah Bjerke, and nephew, Ron Wiebelhaus.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, October 25, 2024 at Eddy Funeral Home with Pastor Bryce Tahran officiating.  Interment will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be sent to JRMC Hospice or SMP Health – Ave Maria.
