Marjorie F. Conklin

March 14, 1910 — January 25, 2003

Marjorie F. Conklin, 92, of Jamestown died Saturday, January 25, 2003 at Central Dakota Village, Jamestown, ND. Marjorie Florence Stowe was born March 14, 1910 Liverpool, England, the daughter of Arthur and Ethel (Capps) Stowe. She moved to Sydney Township, SW of Jamestown, ND with her parents. She attended rural school in Sydney, and Jamestown High School.

She married Bernard Erickson in 1930. They lived in Jamestown where she worked for Flannery Bakery, and later the Jamestown Hospital. She married Art Schmidt in 1955, he died later the same year. She married George Conklin in 1958 in Jamestown. He died in 1973.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Jamestown, the Wesley Circle, and Lady Washington Chapter #1 of Order of Eastern Star. Marjorie enjoyed gardening, and social events, and she was awonderful baker and cook. She entered Central Dakota Village in 1998.

She is survived by a daughter, June Cobb, of Corapeake, NC, and a son, Ron (Betty) Erickson, of Jamestown, ND, seven grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and one daughter.

Funeral Service; 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January, 29, 2003 at the First United Methodist Church in Jamestown with Rev. Dick Boyd officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Tuesday, January 28, 2003 at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial; Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, ND.
