Marjorie D Dassenko, 93, died April 3, 2016, at John Knox Village Care Center in Lees Summit, Missouri.
Marjorie was born to William J and Mathilda (Thiesen) Seibold February 23, 1923, in rural Wells County North Dakota. She was the oldest of seven children. She married William Dassenko in 1948 and farmed her entire life near Sanborn, North Dakota. William preceded her in death. She was a member of the Jamestown Seventh-day Adventist Church. Marjorie was an avid quilter and enjoyed cooking. She always had a huge garden and would share the bounty throughout the summer and then at meals throughout the year. She took pride in her children and their success and was pleased that they all completed graduate school.
Survivors include four children: Bill (Suzanne) Eugene, OR; Sandra Reilly (Jim) Lees Summit, MO; Gary (Linda) Charlotte, NC; Marlene Dietrich(Richard) Portland, OR. Six grandchildren: Peter (Meredith) Dassenko, Andrew (Felicia) Dassenko, Alex Dassenko, Kate Dassenko, Matt Dietrich, and David Dietrich. She also leaves two great grandchildren. Other survivors include two sisters, Lila Erickson, Jamestown, ND and Gladys Hulse Loma Linda, CA, and one brother, Vernon (Carol) Seibold, Jamestown, ND. A sister-in-law Donna Seibold; a brother-in-law Ivan Dassenko and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister Valeria Tullbane and brothers Willis Seibold and Glen Seibold.
A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, June 17, 2016 at the Jamestown Seventh-day Adventist Church at 7:00 pm. The service will be preceded by a social hour and a meal starting at 5:00 pm.
Burial was April 14, 2016, in the New Home Cemetery, Sykeston, ND.
