Marjorie Forsberg, 95, Jamestown, North Dakota died Sunday, December 4, 2005 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Center in Jamestown.
Marjorie Augusta Ochiltree was born October 27, 1910 in Ellendale, North Dakota, the daughter of Herbert and Matilda (Dietrich) Ochiltree. She attended Ellendale grade and high school graduating in 1929. She received her second grade Professional Teaching Certificate from Ellendale State Normal and Industrial School in June, 1931. She taught three years in rural schools, seven years in Merricourt, ND and twenty-one hears in Pingree, ND. She retired from teaching in June, 1972.
She and Arthur Forsberg were married in Jamestown on September 5, 1944. They farmed in the Kensal, ND area until moving to Pingree, buying a farm northwest of town. Mr. Forsberg died March, 1976 and she moved to Jamestown.
She was a member of the Pingree Evangelical Lutheran Church, a former member of the Pingree Literary Club and Senior Citizen's Club. She was a volunteer at Central Dakota Nursing Home, Jamestown, for 23 years, a member of Stutsman County Retired Teachers and a Sewing Club.
Marjorie is survived by one son, Gayle Forsberg, Colmesneil, TX, two step-daughters, Donna Jean (David) Erb, Lowell, AR and Shirley Ann (Don) Trowbridge, Detroit Lakes, MN, several grand and great-grandchildren and a half-nephew, Coyle Willis, Butte, MT.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a half-brother.
Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel with Deaconess Candyce Wick officiating.
Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at the Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.
Burial: Pingree Cemetery, Pingree, North Dakota
