Marjorie “Marg”Specht, 94, Jamestown, ND, died on Monday, July 6, 2020 at Warroad Senior Living Center, Warroad, MN.
Marjorie Kathryn Scheuffele was born September 1, 1925 in Richardton, ND the daughter of Jacob and Inez (Poppe) Scheuffele. She was raised on the family farm near Richardton, ND and attended school in Marshall, ND and Dodge, ND. She married Otto Carl Specht in Wibaux, MT and they made their home in Dodge, ND. They moved to Dawson, ND and later to Crystal Springs, ND. In 1972, they moved to Spiritwood, ND where Marjorie worked as a cook at the Spiritwood School. Otto died in 1987. Marjorie retired in 1990 and in 2002, moved to Jamestown, ND.
Marg loved God and the family He gave to her and Otto. She also loved going to church, singing and bird watching.
Survivors include nine children: Hazel Kalenze, Bismarck, ND, Gary (Margaret) Specht, Pierce, CO, Gordon (Bonnie) Specht, Spiritwood, ND, Jacqueline McDonald, Jamestown, ND, Arlette Specht, Warroad, MN, Leslie (Deb) Specht, Spiritwood, ND, Marlene (Jose) Vallez, Sarasota, FL, Marjorie Kay (Vern) Tomford, Warroad, MN, Terry Specht, Eugene, OR; 22 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Glen; two grandsons, two sisters and a daughter-in-law.
Marg loved all her caregivers and would sing with them until her last day on this earth.
Memorial Service: 2:00 PM, Friday, July 10, 2020 at Williams Funeral Home with Pastor Bryce Tahran officiating.
Arrangements are in the care of Williams Funeral Home, Jamestown.
