Mark A. Williams, 54, Jud, North Dakota, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2007 at Jamestown Hosptial due to complications from illness after surgery.

Mark Almon Williams was born on November 21, 1953 at Trinity Hospital, Jamestown, the son of Almon and Deloris (Headland) Williams. He grew up on the family farm in Cusator Township, Stutsman County, North Dakota and attended Cusator Country School for four years, then attended Jamestown Public School, graduating in 1972. Mark was active in FFA during his high school years. On December 17, 1971, Mark married Diane Rudnick. They farmed southwest of Jamestown and raised three children, Dawn, Tish and Beau, which are his greatest accomplishments. He loved his family very much. Mark was blessed a second time when his daughter, Tish, married Rodney Lux, as he thought of him as a son. He was also blessed with three of the greatest grandchildren; Ciara, 11 years, Jakobi, 11 years and Kaleb, 9 years old, whom he loved with all his heart!

Mark was a trustee, president and ritual team member of the Eagles Aerie FOE 2337, a Bloom Oil board member, and was currently the secretary of the Prairie Coop Elevator Board in Cleveland.

He enjoyed farming, fishing and hunting with his family and friends, raising buffalo, watching tennis and his grandchildren's sporting events.

Mark is survived by his wife, Diane, of Jud; three children, Dawn Williams, Apple Valley, MN, Tish (Rod) Lux, Jamestown and Beau Williams, Cleveland, ND; three grandchildren, Ciara Williams, Jakobi and Kaleb Lux; three brothers, Dale (Maureen) Williams, Tacoma, WA, Wade (Tina) Williams and Chad (Barb) Williams, both of Jamestown; one sister, Doris (Jerry) Schafer, Albert Lea, MN; five brothers-in-law, Robert (Bernice) Rudnick, Glendive, MT, Leo (Sharon) Rudnick, LaPalma, CA, Donald (Darla) Rudnick, Fargo, ND, Gerald (Joan Halvorson) Rudnick and Kenneth Rudnick, both of Jamestown; five sisters-in-law, Evelyn Crowder, San Gabriel, CA, Margaret (Gerald) Patterson, Leona (Arlo) Weisser, Mary Jean (John) Kartes and Linda (Michael, Sr.) Calkins, all of Jamestown and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Earl, one great nephew; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Max and Margaret Rudnick and two brothers-in-law.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at the United Presbyterian Church, Jamestown, with Pastor David Thompson officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 7:00 PM, Monday, December 3, 2007 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.

Prayer Sevice: 7:00 PM, Monday, December 3, 2007 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel in Jamestown.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, North Dakota.
