Marlene Stickel

Marlene Stickel, 82, Jamestown, ND passed away Saturday, August 20, 2016 at JRMC surrounded by her loving family.
Marlene Sylvia Scholz was born February 1, 1934 in Jamestown, ND to Richard and Tena (Mammenga) Scholz. She attended school in Windsor, ND. Marlene married Edwin Stickel, Sr. on November 16, 1950 in Jamestown, ND.
Marlene was employed with the Anne Carlsen Center and was later a self-employed painter for many years. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking and baking, spending time with family and caring for other people.
Marlene is survived by one son, Edwin (Gail) Stickel, Jr.; one daughter, Tenamarie (Susie Stoppleworth) Stickel, all of Jamestown, ND; four grandchildren, James (Heather) Stickel, Carrington, ND; Kaycee (Chad) Roemmich, Spiritwood, ND; Allison Stickel and Terrance Stoppleworth Stickel, Jamestown, ND; three great grandchildren, Levi, Wyatt and Kali; one sister, Delores Rosemore, Jamestown, ND; and other special grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edwin; one daughter, Mariann; two brothers, Ernest and Ervin; four sisters, Irene, Edith, Levon, and Lois; and her grandparents.
Funeral service: 11:00AM, Thursday, August 25, 2016 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Suzi Orlopp officiating.
Family will be receiving friends from 5:00PM to 7:00PM, Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Eddy Funeral Home with prayer service beginning at 7:00PM.
Burial: She will be laid to rest with her husband and daughter at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, ND.
