Martha Stadel

Martha (Derheim) Stadel, 89, Jamestown, ND was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, June 19, 2015 at Ave Maria Village Nursing Home, Jamestown, ND.
Martha Derheim was born south of Tappen, ND to William and Katherine (Krein) Derheim on April 19, 1926. She attended rural school south of Tappen then graduated from Tappen High School in 1945. Martha attended Ellendale Normal in the summer semester. She then taught school south of Tappen in Valley Township and the next year taught rural school south of Sterling, ND. On June 15th 1947, Martha married Ervin Stadel in Tappen, ND. They made there first home in Gackle, ND. She was employed by the First State Bank of Gackle while there. The couple moved to Jamestown where she was employed by the First National Bank, later at the Jamestown College as a breakfast cook, and at the ND State Hospital in the dining room. Martha enjoyed baking, sewing rugs, making quilts and playing piano. She attended the United Presbyterian Church.
Martha and Ervin spent a couple years wintering in Arizona and a number of years in Texas. Martha belonged to the Germans from Russia Heritage Society, and a member of the Good Sam travel Club.
Martha was proceeded in death by her parents, three sisters Tillie (Jake) Doerr, Mary (Paul) Stellema, Tobea (Cecil) Chapman; two brothers, Paul (Vera) Derheim, Peter (Dorothy) Derheim. She is survived by her husband Ervin Stadel. Their two children Monte Stadel and Joann (Joel) Gensler. One grandchild, Heather Gensler, brother Walter Derheim, Sister-in-law Dorothy Derheim and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services: 1:30 PM, Thursday, June 25 at United Presbyterian Church, Jamestown, ND with Bill Weispfenning, officiating.
Visitation: 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, June 24 at Eddy Funeral Chapel.
Burial: Highland Home Cemetery
